Cardiac Rehabilitation
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is designed to give clients and their family/friends the knowledge and confidence for healthy living through a 6-week program consisting of education, support and supervised exercise.
The program is aimed at both disease prevention and cardiac rehabilitation - therefore, anyone is welcome to participate.
Most people participating in the program fall into one of two categories:
- people who have had heart disease or heart surgery, or
- those who have been identified with risk factors leading to heart disease, such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, overweight, lack of fitness or diabetes.
How much does it cost?
$8.30 per session for health care card holder & low income earners, and
$12.70 for all other clients irrespective of the number of health professionals seen.
