Diabetes Education

Seymour Hospital provides a Diabetes Education Program by a Registered Nurse who sees clients by appointment.  Clinics are  conducted at the Ambulatory Care Centre opposite the Hospital.  Access is via Villiers Street.  Appointments are available each Wednesday between 9am - 4pm and can be made by contacting ACC Reception on 5735 8050.

Clients with both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes can access:

• Education
• Information
• Support
• Training in the use of Glucometers
• Provision of and training in the use of Novopens
• Dietary advice
• Referral to Dietitian and Podiatrist

 
The Hospital does not offer a free sharps container disposal service.  This service is available from Mitchell Shire through the Seymour Library located in Anzac Avenue, Seymour.
