Neighbourhood Links
Linking individuals with their community - Outings Based Program
The aim of the Neighbourhood Links program is to enhance the quality of life for Home and Community Care clients who are living at home and have limited family and/or social contact by providing the client with companionship through regular activities. We are assisted by volunteers who care about others. Volunteers have a current police check.

Cost
Activities & Outings- $6.40 per client per day Meals - prices will vary, but we try to limit this to around $10.00 - $12.00.
The Aims of the Program
- provide companionship on a regular basis
- create a sense of achievement and encourage independence
- act as a link between the client and the community
- encourage socialisation and the forming of new friendships
- promote self-esteem, to stimulate awareness and involvement out in the community
- help clients become aware of their rights and empower them to make their own decisions
