Student Nurse Placements

Seymour District Memorial Hospital provides clinical placements for undergraduate nursing students from various universities throughout Australia. SDMH also provides clinical placements for those nurses undertaking Division Two education through TAFE.

Students are supported through a preceptorship with a senior member of the nursing staff who provides supervision and learning opportunities. Students also have the opportunity to gain experience from a variety of areas, from acute services to community programs, to aged care and operating suite services.

How to apply?

Students apply for placement through their university/TAFE.

How many placements are available?

At any one time Seymour District Memorial Hospital has a maximum of three student placements.
