In case of emergency

If you have been injured or are suffering from an acute illness or experiencing severe pain, you can seek initial telephone advice from registered nurses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from:
  • The Local Nurse Triage Service on 1300 557 512, or
  • Victorian Government Nurse-On-Call on 1300 60 60 24 
If you are advised to seek medical treatment or if your condition changes, emergency services are available at Seymour Health.

Nurse Practitioner Debra Bourne

In an emergency please call 000 and tell the operator: 

  • Whether you need police, fire brigade or ambulance
  • Answer any other questions that the operator might ask
  • Wait to be connected
  • If you are calling from a mobile phone, the operator will first ask you which town and state you are calling from
  • Text emergency call – Dial 106. This service is only available if you use a TTY (teletypewriter) or computer with modem to access the telephone network.
  • If calling from a mobile phone in a remote area with no mobile coverage, you can dial 112 to be put through to 000.
Please note:
  • Only dial 000 if you need urgent help from Police, Fire Brigade or Ambulance Service. It is an offence to dial this number otherwise and you may be fined.
