Cardiac Rehabilitation

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is designed to give clients and their family/friends the knowledge and confidence for healthy living through a 6-week program consisting of education, support and supervised exercise.

The program is aimed at both disease prevention and cardiac rehabilitation - therefore, anyone is welcome to participate.

Most people participating in the program fall into one of two categories:

  • people who have had heart disease or heart surgery, or
  • those who have been identified with risk factors leading to heart disease, such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, overweight, lack of fitness or diabetes.

How much does it cost?

Our fee is charged according to the Department of Human Services Home and Community Care (HACC) guidelines for each person enrolled in the program.  The fee is discussed at your initial assessment appointment.  Additional costs may be incurred for aids / equipment if required.

Where to find us?

Cardiac Rehabilitation is located at the Ambulatory Care Centre, on the corner of Bretonneux Street and Villers Sts, Seymour (entry from Villers Street).
